Why I Sometimes Say "No"
Share
This might surprise you.
There are times when a client sits in my chair, ready for more length or more volume...
...and I say,
"I don't think that's the right choice today."
Not because I don't want to do it.
Because I want to do what's best for them.
Hair Extensions Should Never Be About Selling More Hair
It would be easy to say yes every time.
More rows.
More grams.
Longer lengths.
But that's not how I work.
If I believe your natural hair needs a little more time.
If I think a shorter length will blend better.
If I know you'll be happier with less weight.
I'll tell you.
Because my job isn't to sell the biggest transformation.
My job is to create the right one.
Trust Is Built Through Honest Conversations
One of the things I value most is trust.
Sometimes that means recommending something different from what a client originally had in mind.
It might mean:
"Let's start with one row instead of two."
Or,
"Let's keep the length a little shorter so it blends beautifully."
Or even,
"I think we should wait before adding extensions."
Those conversations aren't always easy.
But they're the conversations that protect your natural hair and help create results you'll still love months later.
The Best Results Come from Saying Yes to the Right Things
I've learnt that saying "no" isn't about turning clients away.
It's about saying "yes" to healthy hair.
"Yes" to long-term results.
"Yes" to comfort.
"Yes" to confidence.
Because at the end of the day, I don't want you to leave my chair with the most hair possible.
I want you to leave with hair that feels like it was always meant to be yours.
