Why I Never Follow the Same Braided Weft Placement Twice

One question I get asked a lot is,

"Where do you put the braid?"

The honest answer?

It depends.

After installing Braided Wefts for more than a decade, I've learnt that the biggest mistake isn't poor stitching.

It's assuming every client needs the same placement.

Some clients have finer hair around the sides.

Some have a stronger crown.

Some wear their hair up every day.

Some only ever wear it down.

Some want fullness.

Others want length.

The braid should work with your natural hair, not against it.

That's why I never start by thinking,

"Where does the braid normally go?"

I start by asking,

"What's going to work best for this person?"

To me, that's the difference between simply installing hair extensions and creating a result that feels comfortable, looks natural and grows out beautifully.
